"JOAN OF ARC" Original Lithograph signed by Salvator Dali, born in Figueras in 1904 died in 1989
He made his mark in Madrid and Barcelona. Dali visited Paris in 1928. Picasso and Miro' arranged an exhibith of his work. Dali was established as one of the artist at the centre of Surrealism. Dali was able to combine extremes of reality and unreality in one picture. In 1933 he had One Man show in New York, in 1934 his first in London. In 1935 he made his first visit in U.S.A. From 1940 to 1948 he lived in the U.S.A. He made many visit but he lived near Cadaques in Catalonia. (North East, Spain) Among the honours he has received is Spain's Grand Cross of Isabella the Catholic. A Dali Museum has been formed in his birth-place , Figueras, there are others in Cleveland, Ohio, St.Petersburg, Florida. Retrospective exhibition have been in Japan (1964) and Paris (1979) (see The Yale Dictionary of Art and Artist) size 27"x30" $ 900.00 See Also
