"Channel island" Watercoor painting. Signed by Eileen Harris Chandler, born in London 10 June 1904 , seascape of a channel and islands. She married in 1930 with Roland Chandler (died in 1944) On daughter died in London 28 january 1993 At 18 she was invited to spend six month in Palestine (at that time under British rule) She was guest of the governor friend of her Father. She painted a series of watercolours that were superb enough to secure her place in history. After the dead of her husband she paiinted portrait, many of chilldren, and star of Holliwood as Sheridan Morley, Bamber Gascoigne and Liza Minelli She travel frequently and had many commission from United States and Sweden., including portraits of royal family. From 1943 she lived in Hampstead but travel frequently. She moved to Putney to be close to her family She died suddenly and peacefully March 2010 size 380x410 mm wood framed antique white ornate - gray mat $ 350.00
